Functions of Adjective Degrees وظائف درجات الصفات
1-
الدرجة الأولى : تصف شخص أو شىء دون مقارنة بالآخرين أو تساوى صفة عند اثنين.
e.g.: 1. Ahmed is
tall.
2. Ahmed is as tall
as Mahmoud. = Ahmed is tall like Mahmoud.
= Ahmed and Mahmoud are / have the same
height.
= Ahmed is / has the
same height as Mahmoud.
2-
الدرجة الثانية : تستخدم للمقارنة بين شخصين أو شيئين ونضيف إليها ( er )وتتبع بـ than
إذا كانت الصفة قصيرة أما إذا كانت الصفة طويلة نضع قبلها ( more / less ) وبعدها ( than )
e.g.: 1. Khalid is taller
than Waleed.
2. Jack is more
intelligent than John.

الدرجة الثالثة : تستخدم للمقارنة بين واحد ومجموعة ، وتسبق بـ the
